Axis Bank has launched a suite of AI-powered compliance solutions for current account customers with the aim of digitizing and simplifying regulatory processes such as ReKYC and business profile updates for businesses across India.
The rollout includes an AI-driven ReKYC platform and digital business profile update service, both designed to reduce manual processes and improve compliance efficiency. The bank said the solution leverages generative AI, document intelligence and GST-linked data to automate workflows that traditionally required extensive paperwork and branch intervention.
The Digital Business Profile Update Service allows businesses to update their business details, including the nature of their business, through a completely digital process. By analyzing real-time GST filing information, the system can automatically identify and assign occupation codes from a database of over 3,000 classifications. This approach is intended to minimize manual entry errors and speed up compliance updates.
In parallel, Axis Bank has expanded its AI-powered ReKYC solution to non-individual current account holders across the country. The system uses document intelligence to identify, extract, and verify multiple KYC documents submitted in digital format, while simultaneously guiding branch staff through the verification process in real-time. The platform also flags missing information and document quality issues before submission, moving compliance checks earlier in the workflow.
The bank said the new system covers customer categories that account for almost 90% of ReKYC volume. Early implementation results show lower rework rates, less follow-up, and faster processing times for operations and branch teams.
