Ahlulbayt News Agency (ABNA): The Assam branch of India's dominant Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been receiving intense criticism after the video generated by artificial intelligence has been widely accused of Islamophobia.
The video depicts Muslims seizing government land, occupying public spaces such as airports, stadiums and community halls, using exaggerated figures. Distributed under the title “Assam without Bharatiya Janata Party”, it further portrays Rahul Gandhi, an opposition leader in relation to Indian national officials, in relation to Pakistani officials.
Asaddin Owaisi, a member of Hyderabad's parliament and leader of all India's Majris e Ithadur Islimeen, denounced the video, accusing the BJP of promoting Hindu nationalist extremism and pushing forward “India without Muslims.” Journalists and civil society activists likewise criticized the production, described it as a deliberate attempt to incite fear and hatred towards Muslims, weaken social cohesion and deepen community disparities.
Observers should note that similar videos have surfaced in other Indian states, depicting Muslims as invading their homes and public property. These cases promote the claim that the BJP is increasingly using Islamophobia as a political tool, raising concerns about the erosion of democratic values ββand social harmony in the world's largest democracy.
