Armada delivers sovereign AI to the edge using Microsoft Azure Local

Armada announced a collaboration with Microsoft to build an edge computing solution that integrates Microsoft Azure Local with Armada’s Galleon Modular Data Center (MDC) and Armada Edge Platform (AEP). This solution for Microsoft’s Sovereign Private Cloud is available now, and the companies are actively working on customer adoption while rapidly expanding capabilities to meet the most demanding and rapidly evolving mission requirements.

This collaboration seamlessly integrates Azure Local with Armada’s edge infrastructure, defining new opportunities for sovereign private cloud and AI solutions. Sovereign AI maintains control of AI operations and decision-making within a controlled space, so customers remain in control of their models and data with the power to audit usage without relying on connectivity to the public cloud. Built for the world’s most demanding environments, these architectures enable organizations to run mission-critical workloads with absolute confidence across defense, government, and regulated industries, even in scenarios defined by limited connectivity, harsh conditions, and uncompromising compliance requirements.
