Apple Adopts AI ChatGPT Bard Rival Details

AI News

Apple is ramping up its hiring of machine learning (ML) specialists who are “passionate about building extraordinary autonomous systems.” MacRumors reports that the company is also recruiting for positions in the Integrated Systems Experience, Input Experience NLP, Machine Learning R&D, and Technology Development groups.

There are rumors that the iPhone maker is stepping up its efforts in artificial intelligence (AI), rival Google already launched Bard, and OpenAI’s ChatGPT made headlines a few months ago.

Roles such as Research Engineer for Visual Generative Modeling at Apple specifically include “visual generative powering applications such as computational photography, image and video editing, 3D shape and motion reconstruction, and avatar generation.” Includes modeling work. A MacRumors report was added.

This comes a few days after ChatGPT, OpenAI’s hugely popular AI-powered tool, became available on iOS. The San Francisco-based company has officially launched its ChatGPT app for iOS in the US and plans to expand availability to other countries in the near future. OpenAI claims the app offers seamless synchronization of user history across devices and incorporates the latest enhancements to OpenAI models.

The app provides instant responses with accurate information without the hassle of ads and multiple search results. We cater to a wide range of interests and needs including personalized advice on travel, DIY projects, cooking and crafts.

But the iPhone maker has restricted some employees from using OpenAI-owned ChatGPT, The Wall Street Journal reported last week, citing people familiar with the matter.

The company’s decision comes amid concerns about employees leaking sensitive data and AI platforms collecting sensitive information.
