AI, music technology, and future business models — what to expect from All About Music X

AI For Business

The milestone 10th edition of the Mumbai-based All About Music Conference, widely regarded as India’s largest conference, will be held from August 25th to 27th.

“We think less about the past 10 years and more about the next 10,” says Chandni Soni, head of business at music conferences. For example, the discussion will feature “professional conversations about AI, music technology, and future business models.”

This year, various events will be expanded. The showcase, which previously took place in the evening after keynotes, panel discussions, master classes and workshops, will now be held throughout the day in a separate performance room under the banner “Music X.”

Organizers say the aim is to provide a space for a wide range of artists working across multiple genres and languages.

Artists interested in participating in the conference must pay an application fee of 499 rupees (approximately $5.20), which will be refunded if not selected. If you earn a spot, you can attend the rest of the event without purchasing a delegate pass.

These all-day performances are open to all attendees, but this time, admission may be limited for evening concerts sponsored by sponsors.

You can also submit an entry to the “Pitch Your Music” session. The sessions will grow into six categories and will be held under the banner “Access X.” In addition to labels and filmmakers, you can present your work to A&Rs, music supervisors, managers and booking agents.

Meanwhile, ambitious up-and-coming event organizers can pitch their live IP ideas to brands and venues. Like last year, there will also be an opportunity for music startup founders to pitch their businesses to potential investors.

We’ve also made changes this time around, including more “Ask Me Anything” sessions with renowned industry experts. Connect Corner sessions, where attendees can meet and network one-on-one with various music industry insiders, will be held five times each day of the event, instead of just two each day.

Tickets for ‘All About Music’ are priced at Rs 3,500, Rs 9,000 and Rs 15,000 for students, artists and general attendees respectively and are available on thumpN.com.

The conference is hosted by Create and Collab, a division of entertainment and talent management company TM Ventures, which Universal Music Group acquired a majority stake in in 2022.
