The AI industry is entering a phase where the race for more capable models takes a backseat to the economics of building and deploying AI infrastructure.
As a result, there is a focus on application modernization as enterprises continue to invest in autonomous technology. Developers play a critical role in driving this transformation, and theCUBE Research found that developer experience directly impacts business outcomes. Recent research shows that organizations with high-quality developer experiences are 33% more likely to achieve business goals and 31% more likely to improve software delivery flows.
Application modernization and developer experience will be key topics in theCUBE’s coverage of the RAISE Summit, which will air July 8-9.
“Application modernization spending is increasingly driven by AI adoption rather than infrastructure refresh cycles,” said Paul Nashawaty, Principal Analyst at theCUBE Research. “Enterprises are shifting budgets to AI-enabled software development, platform engineering, and application re-architecture to improve developer productivity, accelerate release cycles, and reduce the cost of maintaining legacy systems. This year’s RAISE Summit comes at a perfect time for the market, as organizations move from asking whether to modernize their applications for AI to determining how quickly they can do that transformation.”
TheCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio, will feature the latest news and announcements from leading companies such as Solidigm Inc., Neo4j Inc., dMatrix Inc., and more during the RAISE Summit in Paris, July 8-9. Enjoy on-site reports and exclusive interviews in which theCUBE’s analysts speak with industry leaders to explore how compute, storage, and orchestration are reimagining the AI stack, from agent deployment to sovereign AI infrastructure to enterprise production readiness. Boost productivity with AI infrastructure
AI adoption among developers has gone mainstream. According to Google’s DORA study, 90% of software developers use AI tools, and more than 80% report increased productivity from those tools.
This has led flash memory and solid state drive solution providers such as Solidigm to focus on technology solutions that redesign storage infrastructure to meet the demands of rapidly expanding model context windows. The model training phase of AI is moving into new territory, where data is absorbed into underlying models and developers focus on inference. This will be a key topic discussed at the RAISE Summit in July.
“Model developers were saying, ‘There’s no real available public data on the planet anymore that we can feed into these models, so we need to leverage what we have,'” Ace Stryker, director of AI and ecosystem marketing at Solidigm, said in a recent conversation with theCUBE. “But what we’ve seen since then is an explosion on the inference side rather than the training side, which is really driving huge demand for DRAM and NAND bits.”
