Govinda, a Na'vi?

An AI-generated video shows Govinda, a blue-coloured Na'vi from Avatar, delivering a ton of his 'Bati Bhujha' lines to someone. In another photo, Govinda is seen on screen wearing a colorful Gujarati jacket, bonding with Jake Sully as the audience watches the film in a theater.

Multiple versions of this pretend cameo exist online, each more offensive than the other.

People all over the internet jumped on the joke in the comments. “Sch me h kya ye (Is this true?)” asked an innocent soul. Adding to the confusion, another person wrote: “Yr iss scene pr goosebumps aa gye the.” “It was totally unexpected but nice to have a cameo,” joked another. “Og is back🙌 phaly akshay Khana or ab lord govinda (first Akshay Khanna, now Govinda),” a fan wrote.

Of course, none of this is true. Govinda is not part of Avatar: Fire and Ash.

How did memes start?

If you're still wondering about the origins of this meme, it probably comes from an old interview with Govinda. There he claimed that he was first offered James Cameron's Avatar but he rejected it.

Govinda told Mukesh Khanna in an interview earlier this year that he rejected the film, which ultimately grossed $2.9 billion and became one of the biggest films of all time, because he didn't like the idea.

Govinda said there have been many incidents where she has inadvertently helped others. Recalling an incident, he said: INR21.5 billion, I remember it because it hurt. I met Sardarji in America and gave him a business idea to work in the field of sweets and delicacies. Years later, he said the idea worked wonders. There he took me to meet James Cameron. He asked me to do a movie with James, so I invited them to dinner to discuss it. ”

He further added, “The title of the photo is main, hai, diya, main, Rajesh, kanna, ji, ko, dekha, left hand, katha, hua…main, kaha, 'Yaar acha aadmi he pata nahi kyu ajeeb sa rol ka riya!'” Toh mujhe kehta hai, “The protagonist is lame!” (I just gave the title. I was watching Rajesh Khanna and wondering why he got the role. I just expected a sequel). Mainkaha, “Is it lame?” Govinda! Hello? I'm not painting your picture! He said, “I'm offering you 18 billion yen.'' I said, “I don't need your 18 billion yen.'' The filming period is said to be 410 days. I said it's okay, but if you paint on your body, you'll be hospitalized! ”

No one bought it.

Even Mr Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja denied it. “Arey yaar mujhe toh nahi pata yeh kab offer hui, 40 saal toh mujhe hogaye hain Govinda ke saath. Vo Avatar ka director and producer kab aaya mujhe nahi malum. Hui bhi hai ki nahi mujhe nahi malum. Main jhooth nahibolti naa main kisi ka side lungi. Main jhooth ka “Saat nahi deti (Oh, I have no idea when this story was offered to me. Govinda has been with me for 40 years. I don't even know when that Avatar director and producer came. I don't even know if it actually happened or not. I don't lie, I don't take anyone's side, I don't support falsehoods),” she said on a podcast with Wolfi Javed.
