AI-generated fake images have taken the 2024 Met Gala by storm, creating viral images of A-listers who missed out on one of the year's biggest fashion events. Popular American singer Katy Perry recently shared a photo of herself in a huge floral-print gown standing on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and posing for photographers. Obviously, there's nothing unusual about it except the fact that it's fake.

Previously, two fake AI images of the singer were spread on the Internet. Many fans fell prey to this fake viral image, commenting: “I don't want to see any other pictures. She won this is beautiful,” while another wrote: “My favorite of all time.” he posted. One user said, “She understood. That's nice.''
Katy Perry posted on social media to make it clear that it wasn't her.
In an Instagram post, Perry shared two AI-generated images of herself and said she was unable to attend the event. She also shared her mother's reaction when she saw this fake image. She told Perry, “I didn't know you went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. What a gorgeous gown, it's like the Rose Parade, you're your own float (lol).” To which Perry responded, “LOL, mom, the AI came for you too, be careful!” to which she responded. Previously, two images were trending on the Internet. Katy Perry posted on social media to clarify that it wasn't actually her.
After realizing the image was fake, one person wrote, “I reposted it because I believed it was real. The AI is so good because I ran ATE on the Metaverse.'' It was better than all of them,” one person wrote.
