AI fleet size cuts the effort of international passengers

Four members of the Pune-based family, scheduled to fly from Mumbai to Newark on another Air India flight (AI-191) on Friday, faced a similar situation. Santosh Gupta, owner of Shree Vinayak Holidays, said the flight was suddenly cancelled on Thursday. “After the investigation, we learned that one of them (the mother of a family) travels on the same flight on Friday, and the airline said they had cancelled earlier. The airline's official statements on these issues were left waiting to go to report. Airline sources said the reduction in the size of the international sector's fleet is one of the reasons behind these issues. “In some cases, different PNRs could have led to different travel days for members of the same family. We provide all the support to the affected flyers,” an airline source said. Many travelers face hastily after India cut INTNL services by 15% to ensure Air India is operating stability and improve passenger safety. Another flyer, Vinit Shah, told X on June 23, “Air India only offers one option. They offer Pune Deli Singapore fly on a five-hour layover. There is no date flexibility. My mother can't manage this outage.”Another flyer, Rabindra Zawar said, “On June 28th, AI146 from London (Gatwick) to Goa was changed to Heathrow, with 10 Hours of Labour in Mumbai, then Goa.”
