ISLAMABAD, May 17 (APP): AI-powered software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms are emerging as a core component of modern enterprise management as companies increase their reliance on digital systems to manage operations, according to software development expert Asim Tausif Khan.

In an exclusive conversation with APP, he spoke about the growing role of cloud-based enterprise solutions, saying that today’s businesses need more than basic software tools, as organizations now rely on intelligent systems that streamline workflows, improve reporting, support compliance, and enable real-time decision-making across multiple departments and locations.

He said modern companies expect software platforms to not only store information, but also help users analyze data, reduce repetitive manual tasks, organize records and improve operational efficiency.

“As businesses grow, teams need systems that can operate seamlessly across branches and users while remaining accessible and adaptable,” he said. “AI integration enables platforms to go beyond data storage to proactively support business operations through summarization, documentation, risk identification, and workflow automation.”

He explained that many operational delays in organizations are due to fragmented records, unclear task ownership, repeated reporting processes, and inefficient follow-up systems.

“Cloud-based SaaS platforms can help increase transparency and control over operations, while AI tools can help employees handle day-to-day tasks more efficiently without replacing human decision-making,” he added.

He emphasized that the challenge in enterprise software development is maintaining a balance between advanced functionality and user simplicity.
