A leading fleet solutions company leverages a new generation of AI in an effort to make fleet management safer and more efficient.
Geotab used its flagship Geotab Connect event in Las Vegas, Nevada to announce the latest in telematics that leverages video-based safety, precision vehicle intelligence, and remote asset visibility.
The company says it will introduce new AI-powered video safety tools, next-generation vehicle hardware, and durable tracking solutions that provide visibility beyond traditional coverage.
In Australia and New Zealand, the focus is on moving telematics from simple tracking to an “operational brain” that processes complex data to drive safety, efficiency and asset visibility.
“Fleets in Australia and New Zealand operate in some of the most challenging conditions in the world. This next wave of innovation is about turning connected vehicle data into near real-time intelligence, enabling fleets to actually prevent incidents, sharpen decision-making and maintain visibility across vehicles and critical assets, even in hard-to-reach areas,” said David Brown, Associate Vice President, Geotab APAC.
Upcoming products for 2026 include:
- AI-powered video safety: GO Focus Pro
- Geotab previewed GO Focus Pro, a new AI-powered extension of the GO Focus family of video telematics designed to provide 360-degree visibility and predictive risk detection. GO Focus Pro is built to support aircraft facing increased safety concerns and expanded responsibilities, combining surround video coverage with in-vehicle AI alerts to help identify potential problems before an incident occurs.
- A standout feature for heavy vehicle operations is a zero-lag backup monitor that provides a near-instantaneous video feed to support precise reversing and docking. This is a key risk point for low-speed accidents in high-pressure environments such as work sites, warehouses, and last-mile deliveries.
Next Generation Intelligence: GO & GO Plus Devices
Geotab also unveils the next generation of its redesigned flagship GO and launches GO Plus telematics devices built on a new architecture designed for faster AI processing and higher data integrity. For Australian fleets managing mixed vehicle types and transitioning to electric vehicles, the new device is designed to accommodate modern vehicle platforms with fuel tracking and reliable diagnostics of EV performance.

- GO: Enhanced tamper protection with native Bluetooth connectivity and last-gasp alerts
- GO Plus: Satellite-enabled tracking and integrated Wi Fi hotspot provide a reliable data stream for incident reconstruction and operational transparency.

Off-vehicle visibility: GO Anywhere and GO Anywhere Plus
To address asset loss and underutilization, particularly across regional and remote areas of Australia, Geotab has introduced the GO Anywhere family of robust asset tracking solutions for trailers, heavy equipment and non-powered assets.
The GO Anywhere Plus asset tracker brings you the potential of satellite connectivity in Australia*. This marks a significant industry milestone in the convergence of mobile and satellite networks in commercial IoT devices. Geotab also announced the 2026 Geotab Innovation Award winners at Connect, recognizing 19 fleets across commercial and public sector organizations around the world who are leveraging AI and connected vehicle intelligence for real-world impact across safety, smarter operations, and sustainability.
This year’s awards highlight the growing shift towards a vehicle ecosystem that advances technology, including new categories that recognize both advanced platform innovation and the critical role drivers play in improving road safety and operational excellence.

Among the 2026 winners, Essential Energy was recognized as a Safety Champion, highlighting Australia’s leadership in safety-focused, data-driven fleet management.
