Windsor, Colorado Slingshot Aerospace reported it has been awarded a $27 million contract with the U.S. Space Force to modernize its artificial intelligence (AI)-driven scenario training environment activities.
Under the terms of the contract, Slingshot is tasked with advancing the Space Force’s Operational Testing and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) program toward integration of existing training enterprise capabilities while leveraging AI-native technologies that realistically reflect the evolving orbital threat landscape.
Slingshot is building the TALOS training environment and support infrastructure to integrate with training systems, data sources, and AI capabilities across the Space Force, and continues to collaborate with modeling and simulation leaders in the space industry to ensure interoperability, mission realism, and a unified training ecosystem, company officials said.
Slingshot Aerospace CEO Tim Solms said of the deal: “Our goal is to ensure that TALOS can be integrated into the complete training ecosystem, not just Slingshot technology. We are working closely with other partners and government teams to incorporate new sensors, data systems, and AI capabilities as the Space Force comes online. Open APIs and flexible integration paths are central to how we approach this program.”
