Khammam: What if the phone not only recognizes food on the plate, but also can suggest what to eat next? Talluri Pallavi, 22, from the Khammam district, has turned the idea into reality and developed an AI-powered nutritional assistant that uses natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision to provide personalized dietary advice.
Her innovation sparked a wave of Kamam's pride as Pallavi broke through the country in the AI-Intelligent Programming Assistant (AIPA) category and won a national award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Vigyambavan, New Delhi at Kaushludeek Shantsamaro on Saturday. Deputy Prime Minister Mar Batti Vikramarka was one of the first to congratulate her.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Pallavi's AI-driven nutrition assistant can process text and image input to provide Theme Lee's dietary recommendations, integrate NLP into conversational queries, and integrate computer vision for food recognition.
Pallavi, a native of Allenpla Village, just 6km from the district headquarters, completed Btech in computer science at Kit College and studied fully at Kammam from class 1 onwards.
Pallavi is praised by her father, Taruli Ravi, a private electrician who was brightly determined from her childhood and tirelessly worked to support her education. “There is no other dream other than seeing two daughters in a big position,” the rabbi said his voice was filled with quiet pride. Despite the limited means, he ensured that both daughters had the education they deserved.
Pallavi is the elders of two brothers. Her sister, Rabanya, has completed her MBA and is currently pursuing other courses at Khammam. After completing Btech, Pallavi participated in the one-year union government skills development program in Hyderabad.
