Bastrop County approved a 10-year, 75% property tax abatement for the building in December 2024.

This certification allows CoreWeave to waive state and local sales and use taxes for 20 years on eligible purchases, including:

- Data storage and network equipment
- Racks, cabinets and raised floor systems
- Peripheral equipment

This exemption also includes equipment and building systems necessary to operate those items.
The second EdgeConneX listing, covering Buildings 11-16, received the same type of certification on April 24, 2026, making purchases eligible for the 20-year exemption for these buildings. However, its occupants have not been made public.

The July 22 town hall focused on EdgeConneX, Pacifico Energy, and Amazon Data Services. If all three companies move forward with their projects, more than 5,500 acres of Cedar Creek will be involved in data center development.

Bastrop County commissioners will hold a public hearing on July 27 on the proposed tax abatement guidelines. The draft proposal would require applicants to disclose potential environmental impacts and create at least 25 full-time jobs, at least 25% of which would be held by Bastrop County residents.
