The excitement of groundbreaking innovation is that Sam Lisowski, Senior Account Manager at Gen AI Startups, pursues the AI/ML career path. She learned a totally different domain (Spann writing and marketing) at school, but her stepfather encouraged her to get into high tech.
“He pulled me away and said, 'Sam, you're an incredibly curious person, and you're always looking for something to dive into even more,” she said. “I explored further technology and mentorship, joined Amazon with being at the forefront of innovation and a large provider who is confused in the tech field.”
Dahlstrom also points out how well AWS is structured for career growth. He has been in multiple roles since his first joining AWS as a solution architect for enterprise spaces. He then continued to help build the AWS Data Lab, and from there he helped launch the Resident Architect program. Currently he is one of the builders behind AWS' Gen AI Labs.
“If you want to build a career with AWS Generation AI, there are some skills that everyone needs: Understand and embrace our leadership principles.
He recommends that you become more curious and show a willingness to embrace ambiguity. And it really shows you can invest in yourself and learn. These are powerful indicators that someone will succeed on AWS.
