Arya Asari, 17, from Arabali, was questioned by police about a virus video of the crash on Air India Flight 171. He claimed that a friend had filmed the incident, and he only screened it and shared it with his father.

Ahmedabad: Ahrya Asari, a 17-year-old boy from Arabali district, was questioned by police on Saturday in connection with a viral video showing a crash on Air India Flight 171 on Thursday afternoon.The Aryans were staying with their father in the neighbourhood of Lux Minagar, located about a kilometre from the runway. His father works with Gujarat Metrorail Corporation Limited.The video showing the aircraft dropping and explodes into flames was the first sight to go viral after crashing. The Aryan's name surfaced three days later when a media interview identified him as the source of a viral video clip.This was followed by a team of city crime branches visiting his residence and taking him with him for questions. During the investigation, the Aryan reportedly stated that he did not film the video himself. He claimed that a friend had taken the video, and that he only recorded it on screen. He shared the clip with his father. He may have forwarded it further.After questioning, the Aryans were handed over to their mother. TOI attempted to contact him failed. His phone went off and it turns out his home in Lakshminagaru is locked.
