AgentSync launches AI-trained EA for Australian founders

AgentSync has launched a personalized service that places AI-trained executive assistants to founders and chief executives, following a period of rapid growth for the Australian offshore talent provider.

Demand is growing as more founder-led companies seek support with administrative and operational tasks. AgentSync focuses on full-time offshore executive assistants based in the Philippines, training them to use AI tools before they are assigned to a client.

Initially founded as a provider of offshore executive assistants, the business has moved into what it calls built-in support for business leaders. It says it has supported hundreds of Australian businesses since its inception and delivered results for more than 500 global team members since 2022.

This expansion follows strong commercial growth. AgentSync said it recorded 400% growth in its second year and continued to record more than 100% year-on-year growth, with revenue exceeding A$1 million for the year.

The company is also included in the 2025 AFR Fast Starters list and has received nominations such as CUB Service-Based Business of the Year and REB Innovator of the Year.

Founder’s focus

AgentSync targets companies with revenues in the A$1 million to A$10 million range, where founders are often still responsible for much of the day-to-day coordination. The group argues that this can lead to leaders managing inboxes, setting schedules, and following up on tasks instead of focusing on strategy and growth.

Founder Jess Whatman outlined the thinking behind the new model.

“AgentSync’s new model is built on the simple premise that founders are burdened with work they shouldn’t be doing.Many business owners become the bottleneck at the $1 million to $10 million revenue stage.

“They’re buried in their inboxes, scheduling, following up, coordinating all the moving parts of their business, instead of the high-level tasks they need to actually grow. We created an AI-powered EA to remove that friction, giving founders back time to focus on the work that moves the needle,” Whatman said.

AgentSync says its hiring model only accepts the top 2% of applicants. Those selected are said to be degree-earned professionals who are trained and assigned to provide dedicated support across more than 30 core executive assistant skills.

The service is positioned as an alternative to both local Australian employment and traditional offshore support contracts. AgentSync estimates that you can save up to $70,000 per placement compared to hiring a local executive assistant.

“We want to work with business owners who understand the value of implementing high-level EA,” Whatman said. “Our EAs are trained in AI and systems and know how to support founders at a high level. If you’re thinking of hiring an onshore EA for $100,000 to $120,000, this is the smarter, more scalable option.”

AI and process

At the heart of this offer is pre- and post-deployment AI training. Each executive assistant is trained in AI tools and automation so they can identify inefficient workflows and make changes once they are integrated into the client’s business.

The service is built around four internal systems: SyncMatch, EA Accelerator, SyncOps, and AiSync. According to AgentSync, these include founder-assistant matching, pre-deployment training, standard operating procedure documentation, and ongoing AI training.

This proposal reflects a broader trend among small and medium-sized businesses seeking to implement AI tools without a well-documented process in place. AgentSync claims that executive assistants can help map these processes and introduce automation that slows teams down by day-to-day tasks.

“AI is advancing too fast for founders themselves to keep up,” Whatman said. “Our EAs do that for them. They deploy tools, implement them, and continue to improve the way they run their businesses.”

Philippine human resources

This model also relies on the Philippines as a source of skilled professional talent for Australian companies. AgentSync says it wants to build long-term career opportunities in Australia alongside its commercial expansion.

Whatman said the company has a long-term goal of hiring 1,000 executive assistants, and is positioning that goal as both a growth plan and a hiring strategy.

“I’m building this for my team, not just my clients,” Whatman said. “If we can create 1,000 great careers and combine that with a business that grows faster and operates better, that’s the goal.

“Business owners need people who can actually take time off work and do it. You don’t have to hit the bottom line to hire an EA. If you can name five regular tasks that take up your entire week, and none of them are worth an hourly rate, you’re ready to hand them over and get on with the business of taking your company to the next level,” says Whatman.
