With generative AI becoming ubiquitous these days, it’s no surprise to see other companies adding them to their offerings. Adobe, which develops editing tools like Premier Pro and Photoshop, previously announced its own AI art generator tool known as Firefly. Now, the company says it’s making upgrades to make life easier for video editors.
As the company explains, these Adobe Firefly upgrades “make it easier and faster to turn visions into reality”. It helps you change the color scheme, time of day lighting, and even the season of your recorded video.
Generate logos, graphics, and text effects, as well as sound effects and royalty-free music. Additionally, you can let Adobe Firefly create storyboards and previsualizations, and recommend B-roll clips. All of this is easily done via a text prompt. And judging by the promotional video that accompanies the blog post, it’s certainly easier to tell the AI to look like it was shot during golden hour than it is to manually adjust the colors to achieve the same thing. .
We don’t just use tools. Firefly can also provide users with personalized guides, according to Adobe, and can take advantage of these new tools to “accelerate the process from initial vision to creation and editing.”
According to the blog post, Adobe has “started rolling out new generative AI capabilities,” possibly including these Firefly features, saying they will “launch later this year.” We don’t know exactly when that will be, but in the meantime anyone interested can sign up for a closed beta test, at the same time the company says text-based video editing will be available in his May to his Premier Pro.
