Most of Europe's most funded generative artificial intelligence companies were founded by entrepreneurs with experience at US tech giants, according to a new report from venture capital firm Accel.

The report, produced in partnership with Dealroom, found that a quarter of the 221 generative AI companies based in Europe and Israel had previously worked for Apple, Amazon, DeepMind, Meta, Google and Microsoft.
