
Abu Dhabi Customs has announced a strategic partnership with Crimson Logic, a wholly owned subsidiary of PSA International, to develop the Integrated Customs Operations System, an artificial intelligence AI-enabled digital customs solution that supports the modernization of customs operations across Abu Dhabi.
Under the partnership, CrimsonLogic will serve as technology developer, system integrator and innovation partner, while ADC will maintain system ownership and operational oversight.
This initiative supports ADC’s long-term vision for digital transformation, trade facilitation, and effective border management, in line with Abu Dhabi’s economic and regulatory goals.
ICOS is a centralized, integrated digital solution designed to support core customs functions across the trade facilitation value chain. The system integrates processes, data, and operational tools within a secure and controlled digital environment.
ICOS is built with resilience at its core, adapting seamlessly to evolving trade and regulatory requirements.
The main features of ICOS are:
- Streamline and automate customs processes: Automate key processes such as declaration processing, valuation, inspection, and post-audit workflows
- E-commerce Enabling: Dedicated parcel and expedited shipping workflows to support online commerce growth
- Enhanced integration: Connecting with relevant government agencies for license and permit approval
- Improved decision-making: Real-time dashboards and AI-driven analytics improve operational visibility.
ICOS supports ADC’s digital transformation by leveraging advanced AI capabilities to modernize and unify customs operations, enabling AI-driven risk assessment and prediction, smart document processing, adaptive compliance, and advanced data analytics to provide better operational insights and improve processing efficiency.
The collaboration with CrimsonLogic also incorporates structured knowledge transfer and training to strengthen organizational capacity, ensuring a sustainable and long-term operational and support framework for the ADC.
