Absolute Label Services has launched an “anthology” business management portal for the independent sector – featuring support from “music executives” powered by AI
UK-born Absolute Label Services has announced a new product called Anthologyit is described as an “Ai-Enhanced” portal for the independent music sector.
According to Absolute, the software suite serves as a “holistic” business management hub that “integrates workflows” for catalog management, global digital delivery, neighborhood rights, content identity management, and real-time analytics from streaming, physical and direct sales.
This platform is already in use internally by Absolute Label Services and company clients. Later this year, the wider industry will be available as standalone services, and businesses will now be able to register their interests here.
Absolute says Anthology will “provide independent businesses and entrepreneurs with a new level of distribution, management and analytics infrastructure that will challenge the majors in an age of industrial integration.”
The heart of the anthology portal is what the company calls “AI-powered music industry executives.”Ali'.
Absolute said it is trained on “a huge amount of industry knowledge, data and expertise” and is deeply integrated with the platform's capabilities.
The company claims that the introduction of AI-powered chatbots “represents what could be the first comprehensive AI business partner in the music industry.”
According to Absolute, the chatbot is “available 24/7 to provide strategic guidance, data insights and operational support across your business.”
The anthology portal provides daily data from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Tiktok and other major platforms, with “powerful AI insights” such as adding playlists, streaming uplifts and even “automatically generate news stories about key data trends.”
Anthology also provides tools for pitch optimization across financial analytics, integrated client loyalty reporting, and streaming services and industry experts.
Meanwhile, the platform's rights management capabilities include absolutes, known as “granular control” for neighborhood rights, content ID management, and direct CMO registration.
The anthology also helps manage physical operations through tools such as integrated inventory management, auto-replenishment orders, and retail demand tracking.
Absolute said on Wednesday (June 18) that the anthology's capabilities are “extending beyond basic analysis,” saying that “the labels provide strategic insights that will help identify monetization opportunities and respond quickly to market trends.”
The company added: “The platform's predictive capabilities and automated workflows significantly reduce manual processes while improving the accuracy of all operations.
“The platform addresses growing concerns about the concentration of power in the music industry by democratizing access to sophisticated technology. As large companies continue to acquire successful independent businesses, the anthology offers a way for companies to expand without losing their independence or unique character.”
“This platform will enable independent music businesses to remain competitive without sacrificing autonomy or creative vision.”
Simon Wills, Absolute Label Service
“We've been working hard to create anthology software for many years,” said Simon Wills, managing director of Absolute Label Services.
“However, it is not helpful to ask the owners of a company or entrepreneurs to simply remain independent for their altruistic ideals. They need a truly competitive alternative that makes independence strategically beneficial. Anthology offers that true alternative.
“We have built something that not only aligns with the major infrastructure, but also exceeds that in many areas. This platform will enable independent music businesses to remain competitive without sacrificing autonomy or creative vision.”
“By using anthology, I became smarter, faster and more creative as a manager.”
Nico Miko, Music Management
Niko Michault, co-founder of Push Music Management, added:
“Every aspect of our artist campaign and careers is visualized in full detail, from real-time alerts on DSP performance to physical stock sales and neighborhood rights.
“It is clear that this portal was devised by a company that has developed expertise in all areas of the music industry over decades. Using anthology has made me smarter, faster and more creative as a manager.”
Ant, AI Music executive at Anthology, said: “The independent music business juggles more data, platforms and complex tasks than ever before, from global distribution and complex rights management to real-time analytics and pitching strategies.
“The anthology is designed to bring all these important features into one place, and I'm integrated into it to help users stay with all the details.
“Look at me as an AI co-pilot and provide the insights and support you need to manage operations, so you can devote your energy to music and grow a unique brand.”
