News from Arcanum AI
Wellington-born AI development company Arcanum AI has successfully kicked off its international expansion with the opening of its first international office in Melbourne. The New Zealand tech company is one of a handful of companies globally that is supported by global technology and cloud provider Amazon Web Services (AWS), which has played a major role in the company's expansion.

CEO and founder Asa Cox says he's excited about the expansion.
“In our journey, and more importantly for the Australian market, it was the right time to expand internationally,” he says. “As businesses enter a new financial year and need to find innovative and economical ways to grow and expand, there is a huge need to free up time spent on manual, repetitive tasks to increase productivity.”
Late last year (November 30, 2023), Arcanum and AWS announced a three-year strategic cooperation agreement to help the technology business expand from New Zealand to Australia and ultimately the United States.
This comes on the heels of the company's first-ever release of its generative AI-powered assistant, Archie, earlier this year, designed to reduce the friction of back-office financial processing with seamless integration and automation for fast, accurate end-to-end invoice processing.
“Now that Archie has established a presence in New Zealand helping small businesses and accountants make better use of their time, Arcanum is keen to roll out the solution to a larger market,” Cox says.
Archie, our AI-powered financial assistant, will be getting new conversational features over the coming weeks, allowing you to interact with Archie and ask him questions in a safer and more specific way than you can through ChatGPT.
And the Arcanum AI work isn't stopping there: later this year, Archie will also be able to perform accounts receivable management tasks, significantly improving cash flow.

Jason Satya has been appointed Chief Revenue Officer, based in Melbourne, to lead the growth of the business. Jason has over 15 years’ experience working with fast-growing SaaS companies and accountants as a channel partner.
“I've seen first-hand how business owners struggle with day-to-day, manual, back-office operations. They didn't start their businesses to process invoices and chase payments. They want to get their time back and focus on their passion: growing their business,” says Satya.
“We have experienced first-hand Archie's ability to quickly adapt and improve productivity for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and we look forward to seeing how he helps many more SMBs accelerate their growth.”
As fears begin to ease and are replaced by a greater understanding of how generative AI can help grow businesses, this year is shaping up to be a big one for Arcanum and AI technology.

Meet Archie. Arcanum AI's flagship product, Archie, takes over the most repetitive parts of your accounts payable (AP) operations so you can spend more time doing the things you love. Archie benefits small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) by helping improve cash flow, detect fraud, manage vendors smarter, reduce cost processing times, and more. But above all, Archie is an AI assistant designed to make humans' jobs easier, not take over them.
