The rise of GenAI has dramatically increased awareness and adoption, but enterprises struggle to rapidly develop data, analytics, and AI business applications and translate AI's potential into measurable business impact. Cloudera's new AI Assistant enables enterprises to deploy trusted data, analytics, and AI applications into production faster than ever before, while also expanding the reach of employees who have access to these tools. This powerful combination enables enterprises to drive AI initiatives across the business more quickly and empower more users to leverage data-driven insights in their daily work.

Every business wants to harness the potential of AI, but models are only as good as the data they are trained on. According to Gartner, “By 2026, GenAI will reduce manual data management costs by up to 20% annually and enable four times as many new use cases.” But we believe businesses need the right support to capitalize on this opportunity.

Cloudera's three new AI assistants are:

  • SQL AI AssistantCloudera's SQL AI Assistant is built to solve the challenges commonly associated with writing complex SQL queries, empowering users across your organization to become SQL experts. With the SQL AI Assistant, users simply describe what they need in plain language, and the Assistant finds relevant data using advanced techniques like prompt engineering and search expansion generation (RAG). From there, the Assistant writes and optimizes the query, restating it in easy-to-understand language. By eliminating the challenge of understanding SQL syntax, the SQL AI Assistant allows businesses to focus on what really matters: getting insights from their data.
  • Cloudera Data Visualization AI Chatbot: Cloudera's AI Chatbot within Cloudera Data Visualization is designed to interact directly with enterprise data to provide contextualized business insights beyond what can typically be viewed in a BI dashboard. The chatbot lives directly within Cloudera dashboards and reports created with Cloudera Data Visualization, leveraging the context of the data available behind the dashboard to provide deeper, actionable insights to the enterprise. Users simply ask a question in plain language and the AI Chatbot intelligently matches it to relevant data and visuals.
  • Cloudera Copilot for Cloudera Machine Learning: Cloudera Copilot, powered by pre-trained LLMs, is designed to help solve common challenges in deploying AI and ML models in production, from data wrangling to coding. With seamless integration with over 130 Hugging Face models and datasets, Cloudera Copilot supports the end-to-end development process of AI applications, accelerating data science, model development, and fine-tuning, helping enterprises accelerate machine learning development and realizing business value faster.

“The AI and ML tech gold rush has opened up endless possibilities for businesses, but there are still significant growing pains across the industry when it comes to deriving valuable insights from AI,” said Andrew Brust of Blue Badge Insights. “For organizations to make the most of this new frontier, they need to effectively leverage AI for their business applications. Cloudera excels here, especially as they continue to infuse AI across their platform.”

Earlier this month, the company announced the acquisition of Verta's Operational AI Platform, further strengthening Cloudera's AI and ML leadership. By building AI assistants for SQL, BI, and ML directly into its platform, Cloudera simplifies and enhances the AI and ML experience for all users, unlocking the next phase of enterprise AI for its customers.

“As AI advances, Cloudera is committed to staying ahead of our customers' needs,” said Dipto Chakravarty, chief product officer at Cloudera. “Our new AI-powered Assistant removes barriers, enabling all users to harness the power of AI across their organizations.”

Cloudera will be demonstrating its latest series of updates at Booth #537 during the AWS Washington DC Summit, taking place June 26-27, 2024 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Attendees can see the power of Cloudera's AI assistant first-hand and speak with experts on-site about how Cloudera is turning AI hype into business reality.
