Cineverse announced it has released a public beta of cineSearch, an artificial intelligence-based system designed to help users find content to watch.
cineSearch is powered by Ava, an AI video advisor that answers viewer questions with programming recommendations in a conversational and fun way.
For viewers who have cut the cord and turned to streaming, finding the shows they want to watch can prove to be stressful. Cineverse sees cineSearch as a solution that allows viewers to discover channels and content not only on its own platform, but also on other platforms and services.

“In our eyes, cineSearch is a win-win-win. Using AI to address real problems the industry must address in order to continue serving fans, creators, and all the platforms that connect them. and solve it,” said the Cineverse CEO. Chris McGuirk.
“Today, we couldn't be more excited to launch the beta version of cineSearch and introduce Ava to the world. At the same time, we're officially launching the go-to-market strategy we've developed and helping our company grow in three ways: will be offered as a white-label service to OEMs and streaming platforms by directing fans to their streaming brands, and in the future will offer direct-to-consumer subscription services. ,” McGuirk said.
According to Cineverse research, one-third of viewers canceled a streaming service because they found the search feature difficult to use, and 66% canceled a streaming service because there was “nothing to watch.” Cineverse's projections show that cineSearch has the potential to reduce churn by 16% and lead to 24% cost savings.
Cineverse announced earlier this year that it would be working with Google Cloud to develop conversational search tools. We've also partnered with Vionlabs, Datatonic, and Nielsen's Gracenote to help cineSearch understand your content in context.
“As cineSearch enters its next phase, our vision is nearing completion and we are excited for our sales team to engage with OEMs and other potential customers, along with the support of our partners. ” said Cineverse's Chief Technology Officer and Chief Executive Officer. Executive Officer Tony Hoidor.
“Early testing has shown great engagement from users so far, with an average of 41 minutes per session,” Hoidor said. “The public beta will allow us to collect even more information and also allow us to receive direct consumer feedback and opinions.”Additional enhancements, new features, and richer metadata integration You need to take that behavior into account when doing so and evolving your product further than it currently is. ”
