Meta has introduced several new features to its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. This was revealed by his CEO Mark Zuckerberg through his recent Instagram Reel.

Zuckerberg said new features include a cat-eye frame style, video calling, Apple Music connectivity, and the launch of a multimodal AI assistant for the U.S. and Canada. The Verge report.

In his Instagram Reels, Zuckerberg, 39, talks to Instagram's fashion director Eva Chen, 44, demonstrating the video calling feature.

The two discuss the new Skyler's frame and chain length, which is a nod to a recent fad among netizens that Zuckerberg is wearing them.

according to The Vergeseveral new colors will also be added to existing Wayfarer and Headliner models.

The headliner with round lenses also offers a low bridge fit for people who tend to keep their glasses sliding off their face.

According to Meta's blog notes, this video calling feature is being rolled out in stages and will allow you to call friends and family via both WhatsApp and Messenger.

Meanwhile, the Apple Music feature lets you control Apple Music hands-free and play any song, playlist, station, or artist by pairing the app with your glasses.

You can also request recommendations based on your viewing history.

Launched in December, Meta's multimodal AI back early access program is now available in beta to all glasses users in the U.S. and Canada.

With this feature, you can use your glasses to take photos, have Meta's AI help translate Instagram captions, signs, and more.
