Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed has launched the Dubai Artificial Intelligence Center at Emirates Towers.
A new center in Area 2071 will train 1,000 government employees from over 30 government agencies in the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI), which can create data such as images, video, audio, text and 3D models. increase.
It also aims to launch dozens of pilot projects to improve government services, improve the productivity of civil servants, and support more than 20 domestic and international high-tech startups.
Heikh Hamdan said Dubai continues to evolve, adopt new technologies, prepare for new opportunities and challenges, and shape its future.
“The Dubai government will be the best in the world at deploying artificial intelligence within various organizations,” he said.
“This new center is the first step towards achieving this goal and developing future services that will keep up with rapid technological advances.”
He encouraged government officials across all sectors of Dubai to apply generative AI tools to improve productivity and optimize government services.
“We aim to bring generative AI technology to practical use in the government sector,” he said.
“The technology is developing very quickly and we are determined to test it quickly in Dubai as well and use it for the benefit of society.
“We want new AI-powered government tools to have tangible impact and tangible results.”
The Dubai Future Foundation, Dubai Power and Water Authority, Dubai Media Council and Dubai Digital Authority will oversee the implementation of the Center’s AI goals and achievements.
A study released last week by global consulting firm McKinsey found that the deployment of AI could contribute up to $150 billion to the Gulf economy, or about 9% of the combined gross domestic product of the two countries. .
The Dubai AI Center will use this technology to study the changes and impacts of new policies and laws, predict the outcome of different scenarios, assess the effectiveness of programs, and run simulations to support complex decision-making. carry out.
The center uses data analysis tools to identify trends and insights that help government agencies make informed decisions.
