A search using relevant keywords did not yield any reliable recent reports of such incidents in which CRPF personnel publicly criticized the Prime Minister.
A closer look at the footage revealed that the individual’s name tag simply read “CRPF.” This is not in line with the standard identification format used in the CRPF’s official uniform. Additionally, several faces visible in the background appeared blurry and distorted. This is a common symptom in AI-generated videos.
The viral clip has a Grok watermark in the bottom right corner, suggesting the content may have been created or modified using AI tools.
We then used Hive Moderation’s AI detection tools to analyze the video and found that there was a 99.9% chance that the content contained AI-generated or deepfake elements.
Another tool, Resemble AI, also confirmed the presence of deepfakes in a video in which CRPF personnel were allegedly criticizing Prime Minister Modi. Hiya Deepfake Voice Detector also flagged the audio as a possible deepfake.
Additionally, the government’s PIB fact-checking arm also claimed that the footage was generated by AI.
