Oracle introduces Fusion Agentic applications

Applications of AI

Fusion Agentic Application

Oracle today announced Fusion Agentic Applications. It is a new class of enterprise applications powered by a coordinated team of specialized AI agents that are results-focused, proactive, and inference-based, designed for enterprise execution. Fusion Agentic Applications, built into Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, enable decision-making and execution within business processes by securely accessing integrated enterprise data, workflows, policies, approval hierarchies, permissions, and transactional context. Unlike co-pilots, AI assistants, and other AI add-ons, Fusion Agentic Applications are native to transactional systems, allowing them to run in real-time at enterprise scale with full governance.

“Too much time is spent managing processes instead of driving results, and the way work is done is no longer aligned with the speed, complexity, and expectations of modern business,” said Steve Miranda, executive vice president of application development at Oracle. “With Fusion Agentic Applications, we are pushing enterprise software beyond passive systems of record and providing our customers with applications that can reason, decide, and act in pursuit of defined business goals. This is a huge step forward for the industry, helping our customers achieve results faster, focus valuable time on strategic activities, and redefine how work works.”

Fusion Agentic applications are designed to drive business outcomes and continuously drive those outcomes through coordinated reasoning and execution. They are made up of teams of AI agents with specific roles, expertise, and decision-making authority to determine why, when, and how work should be done to achieve specific objectives. By operating completely within the existing Oracle Fusion Applications security framework, Fusion Agentic Applications allows routine actions to proceed autonomously within guardrails, exposing only exceptions, tradeoffs, and decisions where human judgment could significantly change the outcome. This unique combination of record and results system provides organizations with the following benefits:

  • Results-driven execution: Fusion Agentic Applications operate based on specific business objectives and continuously advance work with coordinated reasoning and actions across the entire suite of Oracle Fusion Applications.
  • Context shared across processes: Fusion Agentic Applications maintain a shared, persistent context across time and steps, allowing agents to remember intent, history, previous decisions, and current state, reducing the need for users to rewrite and reconstruct context as their work progresses.
  • Continuous reasoning and adjustment: Fusion Agentic Applications constantly reason, understand the nuances of each situation, evaluate trade-offs, take action, and reevaluate as conditions change so your work continues toward your goal rather than stopping at one task.
  • Enterprise-grade governance and auditability: Fusion Agentic Applications run AI-powered workflows with role-based access, approval frameworks, and end-to-end traceability. It includes step-by-step actions and complete execution paths for responsible decision-making.

Fusion Agentic Applications run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, powered by industry-leading LLM, and extend the world’s most complete suite of cloud applications, helping finance, human resources, supply chain, and customer experience leaders dramatically improve business outcomes. 22 new Fusion Agentic applications are now available to help organizations achieve their specific goals, including:

  • Fewer payroll issues and faster employee scheduling: The new Workforce Operations Agentic app helps HR leaders reduce manual data collection, speed up schedule request approvals, and alleviate payroll issues. This moves reactive workforce management to proactive and intelligent operations.
  • Reduced supplier procurement costs: New Design-to-Source Workspace Agentic applications help supply chain leaders reduce product costs, cycle times, and compliance risks. This moves fragmented functions across engineering, supplier, and procurement decisions into one coordinated, continuous process.
  • High win rate, low customer acquisition cost: The new Cross-Sell Program Workspace Agenttic application helps sales teams proactively identify growth opportunities, drive predictable expansion revenue, and reduce customer acquisition costs. This moves reactive campaigns into continuous revenue growth.
  • Faster cash collection: The new Collectors Workspace Agentic app helps finance teams collect cash faster, reduce days of unpaid sales, and achieve higher payment conversion rates. This transforms manual collections into intelligent, continuous cash flow and improves working capital.

The new Fusion Agentic Applications are supported by a complete AI ecosystem centered around Oracle AI Agent Studio. Oracle AI Agent Studio’s new Agent Application Builder enables organizations to build, connect, and run AI automation and agent applications using reusable Oracle, partner, and external agents without traditional application development. Additionally, built-in observability, ROI measurement, and safety controls enable agents to deliver measurable value and operate responsibly at scale.

Industry analyst support

“The introduction of Oracle Fusion Agentic Applications represents a meaningful shift in enterprise software by moving beyond task automation to results-driven execution in the transition to an autonomous enterprise,” said Mark Smith, Chief AI and Software Analyst at ISG. “As organizations look to expand automation across their businesses, having a platform that can orchestrate agents across functions while maintaining security and authorization within the application suite is a key differentiator.”

“Agent applications are most powerful when they reduce noise that wastes people’s time and improve decisions that require human judgment,” said Kevin Permenter, research director for financial applications at IDC. “Oracle Fusion Agentic Applications helps organizations make better use of time, improve operational consistency, and accelerate decision-making across finance, human resources, supply chain, and customer experience by focusing employees on exceptions and offloading day-to-day coordination and follow-up to agents.”

“One of the enduring challenges with enterprise AI is bolting intelligence into existing workflows without deeply integrating into transactional systems,” said Michael Fauscette, CEO and chief analyst at Arion Research. “Oracle’s approach with Fusion Agentic Applications is notable because the agents operate within the application suite itself and have native access to the data, policies, authorization hierarchies, and governance frameworks that enterprises require. Its architectural advantages should allow customers to move from AI experimentation to production execution more quickly.”
