Tollring and Amity win awards for specialized AI tools

Tollring and parent company Amity have won another artificial intelligence award for their work in the areas of conversational intelligence and agent AI.

Tollring has been awarded the Highly Commended Award in the Most Innovative UK Software Company – SME category at Computing Magazine’s AI and Software Development Awards. Amity won the Gold Award in the AI ​​Applications (International Enterprises) category at the Best AI Awards in Taipei.

This honor follows Amity’s strategic capital alliance with Tolling and reflects the companies’ efforts to scale AI-based software across various areas of their business. The partnership, announced in 2024, was aimed at accelerating the development of generative AI applications and expanding Tollring’s international reach.

Tollring’s evaluation focused on the AI ​​capabilities of its conversation analysis and recording products, including CIQpilot and Auto QA, which analyze and evaluate recorded customer conversations at scale.

These products form part of a broader portfolio spanning business intelligence, communications analytics, call center analytics, voice recording, fraud prevention and fraud detection. Tollring has operations in the UK, US, India and Australia.

Amity’s award focused on Eko Agentic: Data Analyst, a product developed by Amity and supported by the group’s AI Research & Application Center in Singapore. The Best AI Awards are sponsored by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and organized by the Industrial Technology Bureau and the Taipei Computer Association.

The Singapore-based research center serves as Amity’s primary AI hub, developing vertical AI models for use across the group’s five core businesses: Amity Solutions, Amity Accentix, Tollring, EGG Digital and Amity-Nordstar. Founded in Thailand, Amity primarily serves retail and telecommunications customers and has expanded into Europe and Southeast Asia through investments and acquisitions.

Tollring said its recognized software helps organizations review high-volume customer interactions, with a focus on insight, compliance, and customer service monitoring. Amity presented its award-winning product as an example of AI built for a specific operating environment rather than a general chatbot application.

The industry is quickly realizing that providing businesses with generic chatbots is not enough to make a real impact. “We need a vertical AI system that truly understands the specific day-to-day challenges of store managers and regional directors. The twin wins come as the software group continues to explore commercial uses of AI beyond broad consumer tools, such as customer interaction analysis and task-specific automation, among other areas attracting investment. Tollring’s work was recognized in the UK SME software market, and Amity’s product was recognized in the international category in Taiwan.

Both awards highlight how Amity leverages its group structure to spread AI development across its specialized subsidiaries. Tollring provides communications software and conversation analysis expertise, while ARAC develops models and applications for retail, telecommunications, and related sectors.

The companies presented this award in recognition of the collaborative efforts across the group, particularly as Tolling expands its use of AI in products related to recorded conversations and quality monitoring. In contrast, Amity’s review highlights efforts to build industry-specific AI systems aimed at business decision-making rather than general-purpose assistants.
