Amazon MGM Studios and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have unveiled the first green-lighted projects for GenAI Creators’ Fund and Prime Video.
The fund was established to provide funding and access to AI production tools to help filmmakers, digital creators, and tech startups develop premium TV shows and movies.

Supported by Amazon MGM Studios and AWS, the fund provides grants for proof-of-concept and short-form productions from creators who are building audiences on digital platforms but don’t have access to professional production tools.
The first three projects supported by the fund are: cupcakes & friends From BuzzFeed Studio. Love, Diana Music Hunters From Albie Hecht, Creator and Chief Content Officer of pocket.watch. and punky duck From creator Jorge R. Gutierrez. All three series will premiere on Prime Video in the future.
Creators selected by the fund will use Project Naga, Amazon MGM Studios’ AI production platform purpose-built on AWS.
Project Naga enables creative teams to generate videos, edit them, provide feedback, and track progress in real-time, supporting both animation and live-action production workflows. Integrate your AI production agent with professional tools like Maya, Blender, Nuke, Unreal Engine, Adobe Suite, and more.
“Creative breakthroughs occur when visionary storytellers are given access to innovative tools,” said Albert Chen, Head of AI Studio, Amazon MGM Studios.
Netflix recently began building a new in-house studio to create short-form animated content using AI. Click here for more information.
