A video of External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar allegedly urging US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio to hand over stooges of the Cockroach Janta Party to India has been circulated on X and fact-checked by the Press Information Bureau. PIB revealed that the video was “fake” and generated by AI.

According to PIB Fact Check, the original footage was from a joint press conference and was edited using artificial intelligence. Debunking the X clip, PIB clarified that the foreign minister “did not make such statements in the original video.”
The AI-generated video incorrectly depicts Jaishankar as demanding that President Trump “hand over the incumbent Ninkum Unch leadership to the Kochibli Janta Party” while simultaneously describing them as proxies of Iran and Pakistan.
The fake video also falsely shows the foreign minister saying that he “did not expect” the United States to accept someone like Abhijit Dibke, who “has contacts with the Iranian Ayatollah regime and is campaigning on their behalf.”

In the manipulated video clip, Mr. Jaishankar is seen saying that India remained loyal to the US and Israel and left ties with Iran, but the US mainland continued to host the Cockroach Janta Party.
“As we respectfully welcome Marco Rubio as our guest today, I must also make a request. Some non-state actors in the United States are using the United States as a springboard for anti-India movements, the most recent being Cockroach Jan. “We never expected the United States to welcome someone like Abhijeet Dibke, who has contacts with the Ayatollah regime in Iran and is campaigning on their behalf,” he is shown in the fabricated video.
“While India remained loyal to the US and Israel and disassociated itself from Iran, the US mainland continued to host the Cockroach Janta Party. I would like to request the Honorable President Trump to hand over the incumbent Ninkum Unch leadership to the Cockroach Janta Party, as they are acting as proxies for Iran and Pakistan. They should be handed over to India.”
PIB also called on users to report suspicious content related to the Indian government.
“If you come across any suspicious content related to the Indian government, please report it immediately to PIB Fact Check.”

what was the original video
The AI-generated video of Jaishankar that went viral on X was originally taken from a joint press conference held by the US Secretary of State and Foreign Secretary. The original footage shows the two leaders standing at a podium in front of their respective national flags, taking questions from journalists. The edited clip appears to feature shots that focus on Jaishankar.
In the original video, Jaishankar said, “Since my first day in office, we have been in regular contact and I believe I was one of the first to meet. This has included occasions in Washington, D.C. and New York, but also on the sidelines of other events. The most recent one was in France. So we have really continued engagement and facilitated the oversight of the extensive and growing cooperation between our two countries.”
