Alabama A&M University has been selected as a regional lead institution for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) through the Amazon Web Services – Machine Learning Program (AWS).

AAMU was selected as one of five universities nationwide. This program allows universities to expand access to Amazon’s industry-leading curriculum.

Through Machine Learning University (MLU), Amazon is committed to increasing access and empowering administrators and teachers to incorporate AI and ML learning into their instruction. This allows undergraduate students to participate in research, practical training, and collaboration with colleagues.

Now in its role as a regional leader, AAMU will have access to Amazon’s industry-leading machine learning curriculum and computing resources through the Amazon SageMaker Studio Lab. This is the same content used to train Amazon engineers.
