Will it really help me find a job?

Applications of AI

Jobright AI is an AI job search platform often referred to as a “co-pilot” that matches you with open positions, rewrites your resume with each application, autofills job forms, and even suggests insiders at target companies.

Founded in 2023 and headquartered in the United States, the company pulls from a database of more than 8 million job listings and adds approximately 400,000 jobs every day.

A question that keeps coming up on Reddit, Trustpilot, and all job seeker forums: Is Jobright legit or does it just overpromise? I signed up, uploaded my resume, and spent three days testing all the major features to find out for myself.

I also analyzed 960+ Trustpilot reviews, 12 Product Hunt reviews, and 40+ Reddit threads to see if my experience matched the majority of people’s. This article is the result of that test.

Key features: What exactly does Jobright AI do?

Jobright bundles eight different tools into one dashboard. However, not all of them have the same weight.

After testing each, the three features I found most valuable were AI job matching, the Autofill Chrome extension, and the Insider Connections networking tool. Resume AI and Orion co-pilot were useful, but they had obvious limitations.

Paid human coaching and a cover letter generator felt like nice additions rather than necessities.

The following is the performance when I tried each function.

1. AI job matching

When you upload your resume, our algorithm scans it against millions of listings. Each job is given a compatibility score, so you know where you stand before you click Apply.

According to Jobright’s AI job matching page, the platform is trained on over 10 million job postings to improve accuracy.

We tested it and found 5903 matching jobs within minutes.

Scores for roles closer to my background were in the 80-90% range, while stretch roles were around 40-50%.

I felt that part was convenient. Instead of scrolling blindly, I was able to immediately focus my energy on the highest scoring matches.

2.Restart AI

This tool inserts appropriate keywords and rewrites your resume to match the specific job description so that it doesn’t get filtered out by Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Jobright claims to generate customized resumes in about 6 seconds.

The speed claim is borne out and I was able to create a resume in seconds. Most of the changes were smart keyword additions and bullet point rephrasing that truly improved ATS consistency.

3. Chrome extension autofill

With over 100,000 users and a 4.6 out of 5 rating on the Chrome Web Store, this extension lets you fill out application forms on major ATS platforms with one click.

No more re-entering addresses 17 times in the afternoon.

We tested this on three real-world applications: two on Workday and one on Greenhouse. 80-90% of the fields were filled out correctly every time.

I had a problem with some custom fields (one asked for the earliest start date and the extension was left blank). Each application took about 2 minutes instead of 15 minutes. A large number of applications over the course of a week can add up to many hours.

4. Insider connections

This networking feature reveals your target company’s employees, including alumni, recruiters, and potential referral sources. According to Jobright’s own data, using insider referrals increases your chances of landing an interview by up to 4x.

We tested this with three companies and the results were inconsistent.

For a medium-sized technology company, six connections were uncovered, two of which were actually in my target sector and useful. For large banks, the offers felt more random. Yes, there are people working there, but none of them related to the role or level I was aiming for.

Treat this as a lead generation tool rather than a complete networking strategy. You should be the one creating your outreach messages and building relationships.

PS This is a paid feature.

5. Orion’s co-pilot

Orion is a built-in AI career coach available 24/7 for interview preparation, job search questions, and career advice.

We asked Orion how to prepare for an SEO manager interview at a Series B startup.

The advice was surprisingly specific. But after asking 10 different questions, I realized that Orion was reusing a similar framework every time. It’s a solid structure to build on, but you’ll need to customize the answers yourself.

6. Paid one-on-one coaching

Beyond Orion, Jobright offers 30-minute live sessions with senior recruiters who have reviewed thousands of resumes. These are real humans, not chatbots.

Select your resume, choose a time slot, and join a live video call to get personalized feedback.

I didn’t book a session because of the price, but it’s worth knowing this option exists if you hit a wall or need feedback that AI can’t provide.

7. Cover letter generator

Jobright AI also provides tailored cover letters for each role with just one click. The results were OK, but very general.

How does the Jobright AI job search process work?

It takes approximately 5 minutes to start. I timed my own onboarding from account creation to first matching job, and the entire process took 4 minutes.

  1. Create an account Set your preferences for job title, industry, location, salary range, and more at jobright.ai.
  2. Upload your resume. AI analyzes your skills, experience, and qualifications to create a profile.
  1. Browse matching jobs. Each list displays match scores, so you can focus your energy on the roles that give you a real competitive advantage.
  2. Customize your resume. When you click on any job opening, the platform generates a custom, ATS-optimized version of your resume for that specific role.
  3. Apply with autofill. Chrome extensions allow you to fill out application forms on thousands of ATS platforms with one click.
  4. Track everything. Monitor application status, follow up on leads, and prepare for interviews with Orion, all from one dashboard.

Onboarding was really fast. Within 5 minutes of signing up, I was viewing matching jobs. The flow from “Check for matches” to “Generate a customized resume” to “Autofill in the application” felt seamless when it worked.

What I didn’t expect was that when applying, the job site was linked to Indeed, and the application had to be completed on a third-party job site.

How much will Jobright AI cost in 2026?

Pricing has changed several times, leaving some users dissatisfied. The situation is as follows.

plan price What you get
free $0 Daily credits for AI resume tools, job alerts, insider emails, and autofill are limited. It is reset daily. There is no access to a live career coach.
Turbo (Weekly) $17.99/week Unlimited Apps, Full AI Resume Optimization, Insider Connections, Orion Coach, AI Agent, Instant Alerts.
Turbo (monthly) $39.99/month Same as every week, but each week is worth more. Recently increased from $29.99 per month.
Turbo (quarter) $89.99/quarter About $30/month for the same features.

Is it worth $39.99/month?

It depends on how aggressively you apply. During testing, the Autofill extension alone saved me many hours. If I value my time at even $20 an hour, this tool will have paid for itself within the first week.

Tailoring your resume adds another layer of time savings. Tasks that previously took 30-45 minutes per application (adjusting keywords, reformatting) are now completed in seconds.

However, if you take a slow and selective approach, such as applying to five or fewer jobs per week, the free tier will probably cover you. After creating two customized resumes and sending three emails about insider connections, I reached my daily credit limit by mid-morning on my first day.

For casual searches, resetting daily is a good idea. In full-on application mode, you will feel the ceiling faster.

Jobright AI Review: What are other users saying about Jobright AI?

I didn’t just rely on my own experience. I scoured public reviews to see if my tests fit the broader user base.

Trustpilot’s own page shows a TrustScore of 4.8 out of 5 from over 1,000 total reviews. It sounds incredible. There’s a reason for that.

The majority of these 960+ reviews are “invited” reviews, meaning Jobright is asking users to leave feedback. Invited reviews tend to be biased toward positivity because satisfied customers are more likely to respond to prompts.

Remote Job Assistant, a competing platform that sells its own automated application tool, independently analyzed a subset of 230 verified Trustpilot reviews and found it to have a rating closer to 4.6 out of 5, with 14% (32 of 230) of 1-star reviews.

The picture is more consistent on Product Hunt, with a 4.8 out of 5 rating from 12 reviews as of March 2026, according to Product Hunt’s Jobright page.

Jobright AI Agent: Are you ready for auto-enforcement?

Jobright recently introduced an automation layer called Jobright Agent. It promises to handle the entire application cycle, including matching, resume customization, form filling, and submission, with minimal manual input.

According to Jobright’s agent page, marketing language claims to “automate 90% of your job search.”

The honest reality is: As of early 2026, agent functionality remains in beta.

Access is being rolled out in stages and many users are on a waiting list. An independent review of JobCopilot, a competing automated application platform, tested the agent and found its job database to be “very limited”, meaning it could only apply to a small percentage of available roles.

If full manual automation is your top priority right now, temper your expectations. Agent shows promise, but it’s still not quite the elegant, forget-it-now solution that marketing suggests.

Jobright Can AI actually help you get hired?

Can platforms really have a meaningful impact on job hunting?

The data suggests this is the case, but there are caveats. Competitive automated application platform Remote Job Assistant conducted a 14-day independent test of its Turbo plan and reported a callback rate of 6.4% from 47 applications across six job categories.

By the way, the average callback rate for cold online applications is typically around 2-3%, according to Glassdoor recruiting data. A 3x improvement is important.

Some reddit users have reported landing interviews within days of switching to Jobright. One user accepted the offer within a few months.

After testing it myself, I can say: Yes, it’s worth a try. And for a large number of applicants, it’s worth the money. Great for matching you with jobs and speeding up applications.

But, and this is a big deal, Jobright is a tool, not a miracle worker. Users who get the best results treat it as an accelerator rather than an autopilot.

Review and edit your AI-generated resume before sending it. They use their insider connections to seek warm introductions. They don’t use Orion to prepare for interviews; they use it to prepare for interviews.

With Jobright, you can reduce the time it takes to get an interview. What you do once you get there is completely up to you.
