AutoStore has launched a new cloud software platform, CubeVerse, introducing AI-driven tools under the AutoStore Intelligence brand as the warehouse automation supplier pushes further into analytics and software-driven optimization.
AutoStore described the release as a transition to a system that coordinates operations in real time. The product combines cloud software, analytics, and robotic workflows designed to increase throughput in existing equipment without adding robots or expanding the grid.
AutoStore’s core product is a cube-based storage and retrieval system in which robots operate on a grid and move boxes to workstations. New announcements focus on software layers across system design, deployment, and daily operations. These tools are intended to work alongside your existing warehouse management and warehouse execution systems, rather than replacing them.
Chief Product Officer Parth Joshi positioned the change as a response to the increasing pace and complexity of fulfillment operations.
“Fulfillment is becoming a real-time, intelligence-driven discipline. If systems can’t continuously sense, decide, and adapt, everything upstream will break down,” said Parth Joshi, chief product officer at AutoStore.
CubeVerse is positioned as an integrated cloud platform that unifies data, applications, and AI capabilities across the life of a fulfillment system. We described AutoStore as a single environment that spans design, simulation, deployment, daily operations, analysis, and optimization. The platform simplifies integration efforts and helps keep processes consistent across sites.
software focus
This release reflects broader trends in warehouse automation. Many operators have already invested heavily in equipment and are now seeking greater returns from their existing assets. AutoStore cited the challenge as logistics networks become more complex, with 75% of businesses saying they find it difficult to synchronize their supply chains. New tools target coordination across machines, software, data, and people.
AutoStore Intelligence is a comprehensive set of AI-driven features built throughout CubeVerse. AutoStore said it aims to apply AI to operational data to adjust fulfillment in real-time, reduce congestion, and eliminate bottlenecks to increase peak throughput without adding robots or expanding the grid.
The intelligence layer includes more than 20 proprietary models that predict problems and recommend changes to improve operations. AutoStore said the model incorporates live system data, which improves performance over time.
analysis and control
One of the new modules, CubeAnalytics, displays system data as real-time insights and recommended actions. AutoStore said it automatically uncovers patterns and issues, helping reduce downtime and reliance on in-house expertise.
Another module, CubeControl, focuses on robot movement on a grid. AutoStore said it uses AI to adjust routing parameters to create robot “highways” optimized for large, robot-dense installations, improving traffic flow and increasing throughput without the need for new hardware.
robot picking
The portfolio also includes VersaAI, which AutoStore describes as robotic piece-picking using vision and AI. The product was presented as an extension beyond storage and retrieval to autonomous order preparation.
VersaAI covers order preparation, integration, and staging and is aimed at increasing the overall utilization of your AutoStore installation. AutoStore has tied its products to increased uptime, including full 24/7 availability as a goal outcome for some sites.
design tools
According to AutoStore, CubeStudio is the first major application added to CubeVerse. It is a shared cloud-based system design, simulation, and validation environment for AutoStore and its partners to plan and evaluate system configurations.
AutoStore announced “Cube Enhancements,” which cover physical and integration elements around the system, in addition to software and AI tools. These include new workstation layouts and expanded bin and case support, which AutoStore says provides flexibility as volumes, stockkeeping units, and workflows change without having to rebuild the grid.
The list also includes expanded case support with AutoCase, simplified WMS integration options through VersaPort, and upgraded industrial PCs for larger systems.
Joshi said the announcement is part of the company’s broader product direction.
“With the launch of the CubeVerse platform and our AI-driven capabilities, we bring intelligence across the entire lifecycle, from design to day-to-day operations to advanced analytics and optimization. This is an important step in our AI strategy and strengthens our focus on innovation as a market leader in automated fulfillment,” said Joshi.
AutoStore said it has more than 1,900 systems installed in more than 65 countries and expects learnings from its installed base to feed into continued improvements to CubeVerse and AutoStore Intelligence.
