NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and data and AI company Databricks are helping global organizations realize the full potential of their enterprise data and scale the adoption of AI applications and agents. As part of the strategic expansion of the partnership, the companies are launching the Accenture Databricks Business Group, focused on helping customers adopt Databricks as their core data and AI platform. Together, the companies will help customers take advantage of Databricks’ latest innovations, including Lakebase for serverless Postgres databases built for AI, Genie to let employees chat with their data, and Agent Bricks for high-quality agents built on enterprise data.

Organizations struggle to scale AI due to fragmented data and legacy infrastructure that silo information and stall innovation. To have real impact, companies need a unified data foundation and industry expertise to centralize governance, move AI from experiment to production, and make data and AI more accessible to teams across the business. Accenture and Databricks help bridge the gap between data potential and business performance by combining the Databricks platform and global industry expertise to enable enterprises to build and scale AI applications and agents.
Julie Sweet, Chairman and CEO of Accenture, said: “With Databricks, we help clients modernize their data foundations so they can confidently build, scale, and manage AI applications and agents.” “By combining Accenture’s reinvention expertise with the Databricks platform, we can accelerate the transition from experiment to production and securely scale AI to drive real business outcomes.”
Ali Ghodsi, CEO and co-founder of Databricks, said: “More companies are using Lakebase to create operational databases that scale with agents and Genies, making AI available to every employee. Together with Accenture, we can help more organizations deploy AI safely and responsibly to achieve the outcomes they care about most.”
Delivering value to clients across geographies
Accenture and Databricks are already helping clients like Albertsons Companies, one of the largest food and pharmaceutical retailers in the United States, deliver agent solutions to reimagine pricing intelligence. A “merchant twin” that combines historical analytics, forward-looking intelligence, and explainability gives merchants and category managers ultra-precise capabilities. This actionable information drives profit growth and revenue growth through carefully balanced strategic category planning and tactical promotional calendars.
“Albertsons Companies is committed to leading the future of retail intelligence through purposeful investments in technology and AI,” said Anuj Dhanda, Vice President and Chief Technology Transformation Officer, Albertsons Companies. “By partnering strategically with technology leaders like Accenture, Databricks and OpenAI, we are harnessing the power of data and applying AI-powered solutions to our operations, empowering our employees to make smarter, faster and more consistent decisions, and strengthening our customer value proposition to better serve our more than 36 million customers each week in stores and online.”
BASF is a German multinational and the world’s largest chemical company. BASF collaborated with Accenture and Databricks to build FOX, an in-house digital assistant for finance and administration departments. Built on the Databricks platform, FOX is designed to act as a digital colleague that brings structure, guidance, and clarity to your daily work, rather than adding another standalone tool.
“We worked with Accenture and Databricks to create a digital assistant that understands our processes and supports our colleagues,” said Arikan Porat, AI Lead, BASF. “Today, FOX will answer any questions you have. In the future, FOX will look at your data independently, detect patterns early, and prepare insights before anyone asks for them.”
Kyowa Kirin International (KKI), a global specialty pharmaceutical company, is committed to robust data management and governance to ensure ethical and compliant practices. Accenture and Avanade helped KKI modernize its data infrastructure using Databricks Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture to deliver accurate and timely data and insights to its employees.
“We wanted to be a data-driven organization, and we knew that the power of data starts with trust. Once you start believing in data, the sky is the limit,” said Sudeep Gupta, KKI Director of Data. “Now, Accenture can help us explore the art of the possible and how we can continue to innovate and improve patient outcomes using the Databricks platform.”
