The first keynote speaker at SPE Thermoset Division’s Thermoset TopCon event, May 12-23, 2026 in Bethel, CT, will be Matt Seitz, director of the University of Wisconsin’s AI Hub for Business.

Seitz is passionate about driving growth through technology and AI and brings 30 years of experience helping organizations solve business challenges through technology. As director of the University of Wisconsin’s AI Hub, Seitz leads efforts to advance AI research while fostering industry partnerships and preparing students for AI leadership roles. He writes a widely read newsletter on AI and is a regular keynote speaker on technology and AI for business.

His keynote, “Artificial Intelligence and How It Can Benefit Manufacturing,” will focus on how leaders can leverage AI to benefit their businesses. From personal productivity to strategic differentiation, we discuss the “Four Levels of Adoption Trends and Impact.” Based on case studies, Seitz includes guidance on prioritizing AI initiatives and practical applications for business and personal productivity.

Approximately 75% of companies report a positive ROI on their AI investments, and 88% plan to increase their investments in 2026. Companies that scale AI enjoy 1.5x revenue growth and 1.4x return on invested capital.

“AI is the next productivity breakthrough that will benefit all industries,” Seitz said. “In addition to showcasing how AI can be leveraged to make businesses more efficient and competitive, we look forward to showcasing how AI specifically benefits manufacturing.”

Participants will leave with a roadmap to evaluate opportunities, avoid project pitfalls, and lead AI-savvy teams.
