A$AP Rocky has denied that his upcoming “Helicopter$” music video was created using artificial intelligence.
On Monday (January 12), the rapper released the visual for “Helicopter$,” his first music video of 2026. Shortly after the video was released, people online questioned whether the bizarre animated visuals were generated by AI, prompting Rocky to directly respond on social media.
“This video was not generated by Ai! This video was not generated by Ai!” Rocky wrote about X several times after its release, adding that it was “just generic.”

Directed by Dan Streit, the video leans into the surreal, high-concept aesthetic Rocky was known for throughout his career, and sees the Harlem native lead a crew around the city in a stolen helicopter, followed by a police chase.
The song will be included on his upcoming fourth studio album. don't make fun of mePrevious versions of the song featured Playboi Carti, but the official release focuses solely on Rocky.
“Helicopter$” comes just a week after Rocky shared the video for “Punk Rocky,” starring Winona Ryder and including cameos from Danny Elfman, Thundercat, A$AP Nast and more. Ryder's involvement also ties in to Rocky's ongoing creative relationship with filmmaker Tim Burton. don't make fun of me.
Rocky spoke openly about Burton's involvement in the project. In a previous interview signboardthe rapper recalled performing the album's music for the director and explained Burton's reaction.
“He was shaking his head and was like, 'Wow! I didn't know you made music like that!'” Rocky said at the time, adding that Burton “was tough.”

The rapper has been largely secretive about the album's details, but its creative direction has been framed as a continuation of his long-standing interest in fashion, film, and boundary-pushing visuals.
The Mob frontman's “Punk Rocky” will also be featured on ESPN as the soundtrack for the team's semifinal run, which will be the Hurricanes' de facto home game next Monday (January 19) when Indiana University faces the University of Miami for the championship at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
