Buckingham Palace is looking for a senior press officer for the royal family and is offering more than £7,000 for the role.
According to reports, Palace are offering him a two-year contract with an annual salary of £32,000.
The royal job description says the position is “exceptional” as people are encouraged to apply.
It says, “It's about drafting a letter that someone will never forget.
“Working in teams with a common and unique purpose, we engage with the public while supporting the role of the King. This is what makes working for the Royal Family so special.”
“Thousands of letters are addressed to the monarch and royal family each year. As part of the communications team, your challenge is to ensure each letter receives a timely and well-crafted response.”
Key responsibilities include “operational responsibility for specific portfolios,” including support in drafting responses to letters from the public.
Individuals “work together with fellow senior correspondents; [providing] Vision, leadership, and direction to support the overall goals of the department. ”
Applicants must be able to record and monitor all communications and be “proud” of the impact their work has.
You will also need “excellent IT skills” and “a keen eye for detail.”

The deadline for individuals to apply is January 11, 2026, and interviews are scheduled for mid-to-late January.
