Reolink has expanded its smart home security reach with an on-device AI hub, its flagship 24MP triple-lens camera series, a new solar-powered floodlight camera, and a series of battery devices based on Qualcomm's low-power Wi-Fi technology.
The product, shown at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, extends the company's focus on higher image resolutions, wider fields of view, and local processing of video data across home and small business installations.
The centerpiece of the new lineup is the “Reolink AI Box.” This device acts as an AI processing hub for most existing Reolink cameras and network video recorders. It runs on Qualcomm's Dragonwing Q8 series system-on-chip, handling discovery, analysis, and search functions on the device rather than in the cloud.
According to Reolink, AI Box provides natural language prompt-based alerts. Users can enter descriptions like “man climbing fence” or “backyard full of garbage cans.” The system converts these prompts into AI rules that control what the camera monitors and when notifications are triggered.
The hub also generates event descriptions from video footage. The software identifies and labels people, objects, actions, and settings in the scene. Assign each incident a security level, from L1, which indicates normal activity, to L4, which indicates events of higher concern.
AI Box supports a feature called Local AI Video Search+. Rather than scrolling through a timeline, users can search for saved footage using AI-derived tags. According to the company, the device also generates a smart summary that compiles the analyzed data into a visual overview of recent activity.
According to Reolink, this hub connects to most existing cameras and NVRs through a plug-and-play setup, with the exception of 4G models. This links non-AI devices to the company's new ReoNeura AI software environment.
Triple lens flagship
Reolink also introduced the OMVI series, a new family of triple-lens cameras designed to cover all areas. The range includes the flagship OMVI X16 PoE with 24MP resolution, as well as the 18MP OMVI 3i WiFi and PoE variant.
Winner of the CES 2026 Innovation Award, the OMVI X16 PoE combines a 16MP dual-lens panoramic module with an 8MP pan-tilt-zoom lens. Panoramic units provide a 180 degree ultra-wide view of the monitored area. The PTZ lens supports 16x optical zoom for close inspection.
The camera's triple-motor construction allows motorized tilting of the upper panoramic lens from 0 to 22 degrees. The PTZ unit offers 360 degrees of infinite horizontal panning and 140 degrees of vertical rotation, covering a large surveillance area.
Reolink combines optical design with something called synchronous smart tracking. When the panoramic camera detects movement, the PTZ lens automatically locks on the subject. It then tracks the target with a preset zoomed-in close-up view, even beyond the panoramic frame, until the person or object leaves the surveillance zone.
Users can watch wide-angle and close-up feeds simultaneously on the Reolink app or PC client. You can also tap any point in the panoramic image to aim the PTZ lens at that location. The camera supports custom patrol schedules and one-tap scanning to cycle through predefined views.
Battery lines on Qualcomm chip
Reolink has teamed up with Qualcomm to develop a new series of battery-powered cameras and doorbells. The device uses Qualcomm's Micro Power Wi-Fi QCC730 chip. The company says the chip delivers up to 96% longer battery life than typical devices in this category.
The new line features a compact form factor. Reolink marketed its product to cost-conscious buyers who wanted longer time between charges.
Expansion of solar floodlights
The company has also expanded its floodlight range with a new solar floodlight cam. The device integrates a 3W solar panel, a 1000 lumen floodlight, and a 4MP camera with a 150 degree wide-angle field of view into one unit.
The camera works with wire-free design. According to Leolink, it can run all day long with about an hour of sunlight. It can also be used for up to 3 months on a full charge, even when there is no sunlight.
Solar Floodlight Cam includes AI-based detection and lighting control. It joins the existing Elite Floodlight WiFi and TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi models in Reolink's outdoor product range.
Reolink positioned the expanded portfolio as part of a broader strategy for private on-device AI and long-running outdoor systems. The company is demonstrating new products at its booth at CES and through virtual booth tours for Australian customers.
