If you’re nervous about what to say on your first date, worry no more. Some students have come up with a way to tell us what to say with a personal teleprompter! Is this technology something we’ve always needed or is it going too far?
A Stanford University student posted a video after using ChatGPT to create AI-powered glasses that aid conversation. Some viewers find this particularly useful for interviews, parties, or even dates.
Prototypes are in the early stages, and the device is a pair of glasses with a thick monocle attached to one lens, so no one is fooled yet.
The glasses use voice recognition technology that actually listens to what the other person is saying, reads it, generates a reply, and displays it in front of you. They also say the current version isn’t fast enough, as there is a long pause before the next word pops up.
Students enter details about their friends’ private lives, so they can ask questions, but the information is easily found on social media.
One video circulating on social media shows a man using glasses in a simulated job interview.
But there are features that everyone wants. It’s facial recognition that can tell you the name of someone who approaches you. This will save you a lot of awkward conversations.
