Agentic AI workflows are advancing the world of underwriting at Convr AI®is a leading artificial intelligence (AI) company that provides an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered underwriting workbench to commercial P&C insurance organizations. The company incorporates referral, financial analyst, and underwriting agency workflow agents into its customer-facing platform. Pre-built templates give underwriting team members more autonomy in decision-making.
“Agentic AI reduces friction throughout the underwriting process,” said John Stammen, CEO of Convr. “Agents work autonomously for you, driving faster submissions through quotes and helping you create more business faster.”
Convr's template library includes pre-built starter prompts that allow underwriting team members to build workflows without being prompt engineers. You can also customize the starter prompt. All you need is basic underwriting experience to get started.

One example is Convr's referral agent. It automatically generates a referral summary that confirms exposure, losses, limits, etc. The referral agent notifies the user if the submission is acceptable or if a referral is required. Users can also choose to give their agents more agency.
Harish Neelamana, co-founder and president of Convr, said: “You can do it without stepping into the declination process and make modifications during initial clearance and triage. These are all templates built into the Convr platform.”
“Unlike traditional automation tools that wait for user commands…Agentic AI workflows proactively collect data, flag risks, fill out forms, and recommend actions. It behaves like a digital team member within a workbench,” Stammen said.
For Convr, this historic milestone is a victory for commercial insurance and a pivotal moment in moving commercial insurance forward and accelerating the industry's transition from manual processes to intelligent, technology-driven underwriting.
