Meta's acquisition of Limitless shows the company plans a family of AI hardware devices beyond Ray-Ban smart glasses

Meta has acquired Limitless, an AI startup that develops a clip-on, pendant-style wearable that can record conversations and generate a summary using AI. The acquisition was confirmed by Limitless CEO Dan Siroker in a company blog post. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Siroker wrote that Meta's growing vision is to “bring personal superintelligence to everyone,” a future in which AI-enabled wearables will play a central role. And Limitless will be joining the meta to help realize that vision.
Launched in 2024 with a starting price of approximately $99, Limitless' pendant was designed to improve productivity by capturing conversations and using generative AI to generate concise summaries, allowing users to recall meetings and easily analyze past interactions.
