Artificial intelligence has exploded in popularity in recent months, with public sector authorities leveraging AI technology in myriad missions, information technology operations, weapons systems, and more.
Executive Mosaic spoke with the ECS President John Henegan, 2023 Wash 100 Award winner new video interview Get his thoughts on where AI is most in demand and what is driving the adoption of the technology.

“We are trying to change the situation in Ukraine with this kind of AI capability. What used to take months, we’re doing,” Henegan said in a conversation with Executive Mosaic’s Summer Myatt.
Heneghan said AI is also in demand in emergency response missions, open source intelligence missions, IT service management and predictive maintenance.

Today, ECS supports AI missions including developing computer vision models for unmanned vehicles, performing sensitive intelligence and business research, and deploying cyber capabilities. But in the future, Heneghan sees a world of possibilities for AI.
“Taking a closer look, we see that AI and predictive analytics combined with augmented reality, immersive 3D, neural interfaces, and cognitive automation systems can improve citizen engagement, treat veterans and others, and meet mission challenges such as missions. We will be able to work on the training and preparation activities,” said Heneghan.
