My theory is that at some point, the chaos in our lives becomes so overwhelming that we become overly obsessed with efficiency and multitasking. That’s where I am now, and probably you are too.
Although we’ve integrated various tools to help you do three or four things without leaving your screen, your to-do list is still scattered throughout the Notes app, and your task filter is still within that app. iOS And whatever profile I have open on my own, computer.
This is what led me down the path of finding artificial intelligence tools like Taskade. The tool not only brings many tasks together in one place, but also bills itself as “an AI workspace that turns ideas into actionable apps with a single prompt.”
I was intrigued by its “One Prompt = One App” slogan and the circular flow of color surrounding the buttons on the landing page. I also needed something to help me compartmentalize and reset my brain. (Yes, my brain immediately thought that the name came from the idea of tasks cascading in one place.)
How does Taskade use AI?

Taskade was founded in 2017 by John Xie, Stan Chang, and Dionis Loire in response to frustration with fragmented work that required multiple apps and stifled creativity.
Taskade is available on desktop, iOS, and android. Its workspace consolidates multiple features in one place, including tasks, notes, outlines, and different platform views, so you and your team can work and deploy all in one place.
The company introduced an AI component in 2023, based on the idea that AI should be a creative partner, not a replacement.
AI is used in several ways throughout Taskade. AI agent From OpenAI’s GPT model for training on historical files and brand guidelines, a chatbot to review or discuss information and projects, automation triggers to create tasks within a workflow, and an AI project studio that can generate project plans, summaries, workflows, and brainstorm content ideas accordingly.
For those interested in building the system themselves, Taskade recently launched a new extension to the platform, Taskade Genesis. This is a feature that co-founder Xie describes as “enabling anyone to build a complete AI app from a single prompt. The project acts as the database and memory, the agent learns and operates within it, and the automation keeps everything running in sync.”
It claims to be able to create simple apps from an idea in less than five minutes, and more “complex business applications” in less than 15 minutes.
How to use Taskcade
- Create an account.
- Add workspaces if you work with a team, or use personal folders.
- Create a project or choose from over 300 templates on Taskade. Since I joined the platform with a specific goal in mind, I decided to use my own project and navigate to that list view. You can also navigate boards, tables, calendars, and mind maps depending on the type of work you want to accomplish. Stroll around the platform. There are many tutorials available when working with various features.
- Taskade’s AI project management features allow you to nest tasks within projects, assign owners, add priorities, and create hierarchies. We have set automatic deadlines to get results as quickly as possible.
- Invite team members to your workspace on the platform using built-in chat and video calling.
- Create more efficient plans for your calendar using built-in AI chat. I tried to be as specific as possible to get the best results, but it took longer to produce results. It took about 3 minutes for Taskade to reformat the schedule and create a new agenda, increasing efficiency.
- I tried to generate a new project within AI Chat using the original project. (As a hobby, I created a mind map that combined feedback from my first Taskade calendar sequence with past articles to brainstorm ways to efficiently write a 1,000-word article in under two hours.)
- Since I used up all my free credits on my first project, I was asked to upgrade starting at $20/month.
At the end of your project, you have the option to convert your project to a template and reuse it repeatedly. You can also create Genesis apps from your workflows and make them available throughout your workspace. This is especially beneficial for creating content for high-level visibility of operations and teams.

What I found with Taskade is that its usefulness depends on the user’s needs. I don’t believe I’m really the target user for Taskade, as I was aiming to extract chaos rather than collaborating with the tool or building an entire app, but that doesn’t mean this isn’t a good tool for others to use.
From a design and user experience perspective, we found Taskade to be innovative and fresh. Its interface is filled with details that I enjoyed and found useful, and watching the software automatically configure itself according to my requests felt like it was real. think deeply About what I asked it to do, even if it was a simple request.
While I think Taskade is a tool that could work well for individuals interested in AI-assisted workflows, especially those interested in hybrid or remote work settings, I believe you’ll get the most out of the platform if you’re part of an early-stage startup.
I initially took its tagline “one prompt, one app” too literally, but once I started using Taskade, I found it to be much more robust than I expected. Although it offers more features than I personally need, I think Taskade strikes the right balance between intuitiveness and innovation in both design and performance.
Taskade’s pricing also seems incredibly fair compared to its competitors, especially considering its intentional design and cross-platform features.
My conclusion is that Taskade is more than just a note-taking or task management app, it’s an intentional and efficient workspace. It’s packed with both AI and non-AI tools, even if you didn’t need them all during this review.
