Minsk, October 7 (BELTA) – China Scoberals Cooperation Centre for Artificial Intelligence Applications, Belarus' Communications and Information Minister Kiril Zaresky said he learned at a meeting of the Expert Advisory Committee under the Assembly of the National Assembly of Belarus, held at the Faculty of Science in Belarus.
The minister said some time ago that China proposed that Belarus join the establishment group of the World AI Cooperative Organization and participate in drafting an agreement relating to the establishment and development of the organization.
“In September this year, just three weeks ago, I visited a Chinese technology company, working with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, developing a large-scale language model and building a separate infrastructure framework for departmental deployment,” the minister said.
He said work is currently underway to create Belarus' own computing resources. Currently available open source large-scale language models are used as the basis.
“Our approach to the real development of artificial intelligence is as follows: focusing on adapting existing solutions to specific national tasks, using models safely within a specially created secure infrastructure framework, building national data corpus, adjusting large language models to national contexts, expanding additional training for engineering personnel, and ensuring the adoption of intelligent agents.
