Italian industrial technology company Seco has bolstered its EDGE AI strategy with the launch of a new online developer centre and the release of seven additional AI apps via the application hub.
The dual announcements combine access to technical documentation, off-the-shelf algorithms and CLEA device management framework to reflect the ambitions of the Milan-listed group to establish themselves as a one-stop provider for companies building connected devices.
Announced earlier this month, the Developer Center will provide engineers with a centralized repository of resources, including datasheets, software development kits, operating system images, and tutorials.
It also provides lifecycle information such as product change notifications and revision history, aimed at helping customers design long-term and reliable applications.
Meanwhile, the Application Hub is expanded with seven new AI tools, ranging from local chatbots based on the meta llama model to predict software in smart buildings, defect detection in printed circuit boards, and audio event classification.
Each application is combined with technical documentation hosted in the Developer Center to provide step-by-step guidance on deployment.
“We are enabling our clients to build strong custom AI/ML pipelines without being troubled by the complexity of the underlying technology,” said Fausto Di Segni, Head of IoT and AI at Seco.
“By integrating comprehensive documentation at the Application Hub, Instant CLEA Trials and Developer Center, we provide those building smart products with the power to not only test AI but apply it to their own data streams.”
The company plans to add turnkey deployment capabilities to Clea later this year.
