A few days after the Assam unit of the BJP shared an AI-generated video targeting Muslim communities and Congress party, Assam Congress registered a complaint with the Dispal Police Station.
Bedabrata Bora, media division of Assam Assembly, has filed a formal complaint against the BJP social media cell accusing him of inciting joint hatred and violations of the model code of conduct.
The complaint is the name of BJP Assam's state president Dilip Saikia, co-executor of the social media cell and other anonymous individuals associated with the party, Shekal Jyoti Baishaya.
The video entitled “Assam without BJP” depicts Muslims seizing the land of the government. The video sparked anger.
Gaurav Gagoi, along with many other senior APCC leaders, has registered complaints with the Assam Election Commission.
Mullet said the video misports Muslim communities with exaggerated claims, including Muslims selling beef in public areas, their population, their positions in which they hold authority, and laws like Sharia.
He emphasized that the video promotes fear and hatred among the masses to hurt their images and the images of Rahul Gandhi and Gaurav Gagoi.
The leaders have called for immediate action against BJP cells and noted that similar videos have been shared without measures not taken against anyone before. They argued that the Congress aims to promote community harmony among all people and protect the rights of all.
