Cosmo by CodeSignal brings bite-sized AI and business training to your mobile

AI For Business

Skill assessment and experiential learning platform company Codesignal Inc. today announced the launch of Cosmo, a mobile learning app aimed at turning spare minutes into career-enabled skills.

At launch, COSMO includes over 60 learning paths and over 300 swipe-through micro courses, including artificial intelligence, marketing, coding, finance, and leadership. The new service will be released on iOS, with the Android version scheduled for release on August 28th.

Cosmo offers hands-on learning from the first tap with exercises designed to reflect actual workplace tasks. The session may include creating a generated AI prompt, debugging short Python scripts, or adjusting ad headlines.

For those looking to expand their knowledge, the app includes built-in tutors that answer questions in real time, provide encouragement and help users move past obstacles. Users can also unlock shareable certificates after completing the track. This can be used to demonstrate skills and training to recruiters or managers.

While the training app is almost new, Codesignal claims it stands out as it is based on Cosmo's adoption of data and is based on millions of valuations offered across over 3,000 companies. The depth of knowledge provided by COSMO is designed to connect content to the types of tasks and workflows that recruiting managers expect, particularly focusing on high demand skills, as well as AI's consciousness.

In pre-release testing, Code Signal's claims praised the app for users describing COSMO as “Duolingo of Job Skills,” and for the convenience of coding practices and the ability to engage learners in short, interactive lessons. The early response highlights the app's appeal to both career starters and experts looking to rise on the go.

COSMO is free to download from the Apple App Store. Premium subscriptions offer unlimited practice sessions and faster course progression. Pre-registration for Android is currently open on Google Play, ahead of its release on August 28th.

CodeSignal is a venture capital-backed startup that raised $90.1 million in six rounds, including $25 million in December 2020 and $50 million in September 2021.
