Elon Musk says that he is called “in the form of an ai.” A short, 8-word post about X has stopped a wave of speculation about what it means for a long, unlocked 6-second video app.
Originally released in 2013 and closed in 2017, Vine was once a viral hit before losing ground to competitors like Instagram and Snapchat.
Musk's statement reached further details, causing followers to guess whether Ai-Enhanced Vine would mean algorithmically generated content, automated editing tools, or synthetic creators.
What's clear is that interest in the platform has not diminished. His posts quickly generated thousands of interactions, even affecting the price of grape-themed Memecoin.
This is not the first time Musk has raised hopes for a grape revival. In 2022, shortly after getting Twitter (now X), he ran a vote asking users if they wanted to get the app back. Axios later reported that his team was actively exploring the reboot.
The original grapes were acquired by Twitter in 2017 before being closed during the rebuild of the platform in early 2017. Rus Yusupov, co-founder of Vine, reflected in 2022, “We didn't build the right features in time” and “we didn't help creators monetize.”
Still, no official timeline or product details have been confirmed by X. Whether this is a complete renewal or another idea from Musk may not be seen yet.
