Hànội – Dr. Nguyễn Xuânthng, a member and director of the Politics of the National Academy of Politics, proposed a partnership with Google to develop a comprehensive AI-based training model tailored to the needs of việtNam.

The model will cater to various training levels to prepare civil servants for a new era, Theng said while hosting Doron Avnin, vice president of public policy for Google's government issues and emerging markets, on Thursday in Hànội.

Theng, who is also chairman of the Central Theory Council, praised Google for its incredible achievements and pioneering role in a variety of areas, using Google's search, Android, cloud computing and AI. These technologies, widely adopted by ViệtNam, are strengthening management systems and improving the quality of life for citizens, he said.

He emphasized the importance of expanding international cooperation as VIệTNAM enters the new development phase, focusing on innovation, digital transformation and the development of high-quality talent, particularly for leadership, management and public service positions.

He pointed out the gap between technical expertise and management skills among existing civil servants, calling for a comprehensive approach in which technology becomes crucial to administration across the political system.

Officials also discuss the need for shared big data infrastructure within the academy and political systems, calling it a “sleep resource” suitable for policy making, theoretical research and training civil servants.

He expressed his hopes for collaboration with reputable technology partners such as Google and FPT.

In response, Avnin praised ViệtNam's strategic vision and acknowledged Google's commitment to supporting ViệtNam's digital transformation, particularly in education and talent development.

Avnin shared insights into Google's AI-based training model. This includes three key levels, including basic AI literacy for the general population, skill training for civil servants, and specialized training for research and innovation teams. He emphasized that the Google and Academy partnership represents a promising collaboration between ViệtNam's leading political training institutions and global technology leaders.

Both sides agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Science, Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation and AI in the near future. MOU provides the legal basis for programs on Sci-Tech development, innovation, digital transformation, AI applications, training initiatives, and digital platforms for learning and organizing theme workshops.

It also lays the foundation for an innovation ecosystem that aligns with ViệtNam's practical needs and creates open opportunities for deeper collaboration in areas such as building national AI policies, setting AI ethical standards, and raising public awareness of emerging technologies. VNA/VNS
